WESTMINSTER GUILDHALL, on the south side of the Sanctuary, near the Abbey, was built in 1805, by Cockerell, upon the site of the market-house, erected by subscription in 1568. The Guildhall is octagonal in plan, and has a Done entrance-portico: here are held the sessions.
