Victorian London - Districts - Streets - Blackfriars Road

At that time Blackfriars Road was dotted with booths, the sort of booths one finds at a fair - Fattest Women in the World, Women with Two Heads, Pig-Faced Women and so on. We had not the money to go in, but we could stand outside and listen to the showman's patter, and look at the raucous pictures.
