Hi — this site has several thousand pages of Victoriana, available free to the general public. It's a private venture which gets no external funding or support — just me!
It makes a very small amount of money from advertisement and CDs, but barely meets the running costs, let alone any considerations of time and effort in purchasing and adding new material.
Therefore, I'm asking users to consider donating a small one-off amount — £1 — to support the site. Pretty much what you'd pay for a single copy of any decent daily newspaper. (OK, I've now included some other donation options as, believe it or not, people have asked for them!)
The site has now received £776 since I first asked for donations back in 2009 - your help is appreciated!
