ARCHAEOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND. Established 1843, "for the Encouragement and Prosecution of Researches into the Arts and Monuments of the Middle Ages." Apartments, 26, Suffolk-street, Haymarket; annual subscription, one guinea. Meetings of the Institute are held on the first Friday in each month, from November to June, inclusive; and an annual meeting is held in one of the cathedral cities or great towns of the kingdom, towards the close of the session of Parliament. The Institute publishes a journal.
